That game looks cool
its a neato game conceopt, but it's 100% FUCKING linear, loading times are INSANE, which youll see very time you die/reload a save, because whenever you do, it had to reload the ENTIRE level.
levels are pretty short mostly too, because the whole level has to be loaded AT ONCE, since the engine had no idea what Streaming is called.
whenever you veer slightly out of the linear levels you get a little RADIATION warning, and die a half a second later, which means youll have to reload THE ENTIRE LEVEL AGAIN.
if you can overcome this, yes, it's a cool game.

I got it for the PC. Obliterates loading times if you've got any decent SATA drive, plus the mouse makes it so much easier to target surfaces and do fucking awesome swinging moves, while being able to act quick enough to avoid radiation zones or water. IMO the game just wasn't cut out to be a console title, and that's why it failed, starting GRIN's downfall into bankruptcy. The game slows down a bit on some cards, too, and there aren't any real graphics settings, due to it being a console port. If you've got an 8800GT and a dual core CPU at least, then go for it. It's a great game, hampered a bit by the fact that it never goes open world, and that the final levels are the only truly, utterly awesome ones. All worth it just for the swinging, which is done so damn well.Quote:
