how does engineer perform such a feat?

There's an invisible ledge on the top of Gravelpit point C which you can strafe-jump from if you're good at those kind of jumps.
Otherwise I guess you just build a dispenser near the roof and jump from the dispenser to the roof.
^basicaly this, never knew of the ledge though, i havnt exactly tried looking for it though.
hmm
also you can do the same thing on goldrush stage 1 final cap.
if your red, on the left side wall (people always build sentrys at the end of that walkway) build a dispensor, jump on it, and you can jump onto the railing on that balcony. from there get a sentry, dispensor and a tele up and wahlah. works good with other sentrys in tandom :D
not so well on it's own though.
^ is a nice WTF sentry because it's not a common position and newbies never ever expect it but it can get blasted pretty easily from several spots if it's not covered.
yeah it's a surprise sentry, if your trying to turtle there, good luck.
You get more kills with level 1 sentries than level 3's, you can hide them better and when a person hears that beep they look for a leve 2-3, not that little cutey in the corner waiting to rip your face off.
while thats true it's harder to turtle with them without running out of ammo.
if im offensive engyin and dropping turrets like it's going outta fashion then i never go past lvl 2.
but for defense and ease of repairs without loosing your ammo lvl 3.
If I'm on defense I usually build a bait dispenser and a level 3 sentry to cover it. I get alot of laughs when people think "oh, a dispenser, I'll get some easy points here" then get rockets to the face and a quick trip back to spawn room. Second last cap of Badwater has the best bait spots.
level 2 is all you need as offensive engy, anything more and your wasting metal that could be used to drop your inevitible next level one. Just put a lvl3 dispensor in a good spot and you can fall back for health and metal all you need while still keeping up with the team and providing a moving tele with some gun support on exposed flanks.
That's how you engy-credit to team.
(PS. make sure to tell your team-mates where the dispensor is for an extra gold star!)
