Well it depends if you want to spend the money on them or not. They'll work with all a new canon dslr too so if you want to upgrade you can. Check out www.the-digital-picture.com for awesome reviews on most canon lenses, and his recommendations for general purpose/telephoto/fixed length lenses.
Yea I've seen some of his general purpose guides, got me reconsidering a few lens (I was going to go for a 28-105) to a I don't know what lens anymore =P
Hey, I'm bumping this to remind Timo to take more awesome pictures.
laterz~
Well yesterday I sat on a ferry for 3 hours and a train for 5 and a half to get from Wellington to Christchurch, to get back to uni. Something I only want to do once ;).
A random fire exit to what looks like a parking building in Wellington
The ferry ride was a bit bumpy, but got some nice photos:
A massive pod of dolphins (100+) all swam towards the boat from the side, and and went underneath. Too far up to get a shot of the whole pod, but got a couple good ones
After crossing the strait inbetween the north and south island. Biggest downside of taking photos off of a boat is that my camera's lenses are dotted with salty water, and I can't find my micro fiber cloth to clean them off :F
Train!
The scenery reminded me why I loved living here - spend most of the time out in an open viewing carriage. As you can image there was no time to compose a shot as the train was going ~100km/h the entire time, so these were taken inbetween trees a few metres away, etc.
Some vistas:
Was a good trip (esp. for only $80 for the ferry and train). Saw the northen end of the southern alps too, but with the sun setting behind them there wasn't much to capture. Might upload some more later, the train went up along the coastline too, but with a lot of it under shadow.
beautiful photos of a beautiful countryside :q:
Looks like I got couple new wallpapers
TIMOH!
Damn you and your landscapes Timo :saddowns:
Fuck yes more awesome
good work Timoh!
New, (mixed with) old content:

I've trawled through my photo collection, ~7000 photos to find some new photos amongst old favourites. Around 2% of my photos are on that site, and I know I missed a few ;o
Hopefully in the next few days i'll have updated my user album, sorted out the first post of this thread and gotten some of those shots into my sig :3
