Watch higurashi!
^That too.
Ah. Welp,
Higurashi is the most gorey, but entertaining anime that will ever hit the surface.
if you are willing to risk your mind, go on youtube and search "Rika chan death" and look for the 19 second clip.
I've heard that opinion before, but imo, RahXephon feels totally different than Eva. Sure, there are several story elements that are similar, but the atmosphere and characters are completely different. Maybe inspired, but not a ripoff. RahXephon seemed to have a little more poetry to it as well imo.
Just a second opinion from somebody who liked it. ;)
I mean, all I remember it having was the 'protect the earth organization', the 'mysterious beings attacking earth', the 'teenage mecha pilot' but the biggest similarities ended there. Feel free to correct me if I'm forgetting some things, haven't watched either in awhile. :v:
-enemies are on a very large scale and impervious to conventional weaponry, and treated as a national emergency when one shows up (Angels/Dolems)
-enemies are detected via a distinctive signature and confirmed via some lady at a control panel as they slowly approach the city, where they ultimately fight (Angels with their pattern, Dolems with their aria)
-friend turns out to be an enemy, but does not truly wish to harm the main character (kaworu = angel, hiroko = mulian)
-love quadrangle (shinji/asuka/rei/misato, ayato/haruka/megumi/hiroko)
I'm sure there are more, but it's been a while since i watched it.
watching cowboy bebop, got damn. also, noticed the voice actor for faye is the same as haruhi in the eng dub. as well as spike being tom toonami. awesome
Subs before dubs, man.

I hate subs.
subs then dubs
Dubs then subs for me. I can't stand reading lines while trying to focus on the visuals.
Subs.
finished cowboy bebop. AM CRYING. that is all~
i watched nge... holy shit the last 2 episodes... its like being skull fucked by 5 large men... D:
word
Sweet.
tbh, sorry excuse for a s3. they really are lazy. this should produce some serious HD content though.
:3 Can't wait.
Oh cool new Haruhi... :ugh:
Anyway, this'll be lol:
I'd link the script itself, but that wouldn't be a very good idea. :downs:Quote:
Death Note USA first draft script by WB was leaked.
-Broadly follows the plot of the first Death Note live action film except the end is tied up.
-Light Yagami is now Luke Murray.
-No Misa (or any other secondary Kira's).
-No Shinigamis.
-No mind games between LUKE and L.
-The Death Note has EVIL JAPANESE POWERS which affects the mind of the user.
-The victims of the Death Note die of a special kind of heart attack that the coroner can recognize as specific only to the Death Note.
-No uses of the phrase "I'LL BE GOD OF THE NEW WORLD" or "JUST AS PLANNED".
-L is not characterized at all.
-Ends because Light gives up.
Plus it has more holes in it's plot than a sponge.
Death Note was lame tbh.
yet more laziness
lmfao, don't read those youtube comments, part of that movie is already spoiled for me.
Railgun is awesome.
That is all.

Railgun :shounen:
Never watched Index, so no Railgun for me. :<
I look forward to other series though. Blue Literature, The Book of Bantorra, Kimi ni Todoke, Sasameki Koto, hell, maybe even Letter Bee.
what is this railgun you speak of? is it worthy of mine and rook's anime watching extravaganzas?
Do you like shows about girls that shoot pennies four times the speed of sound? With their minds? If so, it's great!
To Aru Kagaku no Railgun [A Certain Scientific Railgun] is pretty good in general, but there are only two eps out right now. It's a spinoff of To Aru Majutsu no Index [A Certain Magical Index]. Railgun is a nicname of the main character, who was a minor character in Index.
*bump*
I finally finished K-On.
That is all. Please continue doing whatever it was you were doing.
/me waiting for Aoi Bungaku and Trapeze subs.
finished trigun, starting shakugan no shana
Guess what I'm watching. :ross:
DearS?
i watched elfen lied, that shit was good
@ Klange
Why are you wasting your time on a fanservice fest with a crappy story? :v:
@ Kyon's Sister
Don't get me started on Elfen Lied... :ugh:
I liked the artsyness of it, honestly.
Yeah, the art was beautiful. The concept was amazing... but ugh... they executed it so poorly. My main issue with it lies in the writing and characters. That part was pretty flawed.
I suppose I agree to some extent. I really liked the ending and backstory of the whole deal. Was kinda short too... and the english dub was better than the japanese version.
It was not loading at the time of that post~
Also cool beans :)
just finished off the last 15 episodes of gurren lagann in one sitting, got damn. that shit is ace.
Another week, another Railgun. I think Misaka is going for Tsundere of the Year~~
Now it just needs some tentacles.
Neat.
long haired yuki > short haired yuki
if only haruhi was a good anime though :realsmug:

short > long
Can't bring myself to get past episode 4, heh
Elfen Lied on the other hand, watched them all in two days. Gory, fun, not enough time to really understand the characters, but I liked it.
nyu~

Best Visual novel ever.
code geass is the shit, @ ep 8
Code Geass: table humpin goodness
Am I the only one who though Code Geass sucked? I hated how everyone looked, and the story was meh...
code geass is still the shit
Code Gayass just too smart of an anime fer yall
Seirei no Moribito (Moribito: Guardian of the Spirit) is a really good anime. Adult Swim is almost done airing the entire series, so dvd should be out by mid-december (if not already). There isn't a whole lot of spectacular fighting or action, but when there is it's amazing.
Or you can just get your hands on Anime-Kraze's excellent fansub relase that's floating around on the internet.
The anime's been released for two years now, no need to wait any more. :downs:
... Unless you suck and prefer dubs. :ugh:
Get less lazy. Reading subtitles is easy and you benefit hugely from the effort... not that there is any required. :colbert:

Though in all honesty I have encountered a few dubs that weren't half bad. I really liked Cromartie High's.
Yeah, there are a few good dubs, but sadly, that amount is pretty small.
Not that you didn't already know that, just sayin'. :v:
They're showing Afro Samuri here on monday nights, should I tune in? (English dub)
Shortly put, NO.
