Basically, yeah. I'm having a hard time coming up with a better build for $1000. Maybe use that extra $48 to bump the RAM up to 16 GB or to buy an i7-2600K.
That build looks basically like what I build for people- they usually need to buy a screen as well though, so my builds are typically a little less awesome to make up for the money. I am quite impressed with that diagram though.
