Holy fuck. Now that's a goddamn explosion.
the tsar bomba was more badass, not gonna lie.
A 50 megaton yield whose shockwave was still measurable the 3rd time it passed around the earth; a cloud that was over 45 kilometers high when it exploded. Windows in sweden broke because of it.

:phonegonk:
Already knew about that one. But a greater amount of smaller nukes is more destructive than a single big one, and the US has always had more than Russia and has always had more locations to deploy them from.
But Tsar Bomba is still the mother of all bombs, to be fair. :caruso:
Dont the Russians have a 200 megaton nuke?
They were going to make the Tsar bomba 100 MT but the scientists chickened out after realising it may be a little over the top.

They were afraid of the nuclear fall out but even though they halved the yield they still nearly wiped out a village.
The bomb was dropped from an altitude of 10.5 kilometres (6.5 mi); it was designed to detonate at a height of 4 kilometres (2.5 mi) over the land surface (4.2 kilometres (2.6 mi) over sea level) by barometric sensors.
The fireball touched the ground, reached nearly as high as the altitude of the release plane, and was seen and felt almost 1,000 kilometres (620 mi) from ground zero.
If it had been dropped on paris this is the radius of destruction you should expect.
Now that is a fucking nuke.:gonk:
You made me not want to go to russia anymore. Who knows where they hide nukes?! :gonk:
Yea but knowing that 50 year old shit could be ANYWHERE and leaking god-knows-what... Ima stay in California. Whatever NEXT AWESOME PIC PLEASE.
I highly doubt that, and for one reason.
Commissars.
