The reason I thought it was real becuase it was sized down alot, and I never saw it big with all the details. I realized a few seconds after, but at first glance I thought it was.

Actually it was the opposite for me, the turtle just seems to pop out and looks totally out of place. Maybe its an optical illusion or something, but it looks relatively low res, and almost like it was shopped in.
Iirc, there are a few more like this posted on one of the first few pages of this thread that were also very photo-realistic looking.

I meant how they've created those effects. Parts of the water look like a streaked line of pixels. The way the fern up the top right is blurred just doesn't look normal.

actually I completely agree that everything but the turtle looks pretty hokey.
