Re: Modacity shooters' thread
So I just found out about this: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=axSbd4hd8J4
Seems like a great idea combined with a 416 Barrett/408 Cheytac and one of these: http://www.opticsplanet.net/bushnell...pe-204124.html
Of course a higher magnification optic would be preferred, but on a semi-automatic firearm it could turn out to be a useful military optics system. Especially since the ability to adjust is such a big factor in sniping situations.
Re: Modacity shooters' thread
Yeah, I picked up a Barrett mag while I was in Canada and the thing was omnipresent. Just about every photo had a BORS in it somewhere.
Re: Modacity shooters' thread
The BORS really seems like a good idea. The only question I have is about how rugged it is, seeing as how this hunting season I managed to break scope rings clean off my Remington 742.
Re: Modacity shooters' thread
Damn, thats pretty cool. all it needs is an ammo counter :iamafag:
Re: Modacity shooters' thread
so my local gun store just got in a pristine condition m-14. it's actually only 1100 and they let me put it on layaway! i should be finished paying it off in three months, so now my new Springfield m1a will have some elder company in my gun safe :D
apparently the gun was issued during vietnam but only saw a couple weeks of service.
Re: Modacity shooters' thread
Fucking nice :haw:
Photos required, naturally.

I need somebody to tell me where I could get a Type 38 Arisaka Carbine looked at and possibly restored...I can't grab pics atm though.
