It's the animations; the same thing happens if you throw a grenade while sitting on the scorpion.

Also, I think "Assault Hog" would work.

CtrlAltDestroy, or at least the Zteam, I know that this thing do not happen with theirs hogs.

Assault Warthog ftw. There are reasons behind this - C&C Generals Shockwave Mod has all of it's non-combat/light-combat vehicles with non-standard firing ports for the transported troops designated as "Assault" versions of their originals. Just go with what you want though, yoyo.

but don't take out that idea of the waay backseat having a 360 view in 3rd person, plz...MC doesn't have to shoot all the way infront of him, just give it an enabled view of what's in the front of the warthog
