Ghost in The Shell may be mainstream but just as Klange said, its classic.
It had great art style, it had a great plot, it had great acting for a dub, it had great music. I have yet to hear anyone truly say they hated it. It may not be for some people, but those people stated their respect for it; just wasn't their genre.
Yeah, I don't really mind whether or not an anime is mainstream or not. The only reason I brought that up is because Ganon hasn't watched much aside from mainstream stuff. Not that there's anything wrong with that, just sayin'. ;v
