Halo 2's latest update

Last night I decided to pull an all nighter and format my drive. today I'm back up and running with my windows 7 that came in the mail but I have one last hurdle to jump. For some reason when I launch Halo 2 the game will not update. it just sits there saying its downloading, last time I tried it sat for 43 minutes so i killed it. I've been googling a bit today trying to find the newest patch in stand-alone form but I dont know how many patches there were or what version number halo 2 is even at now. Can someone give me a hand here?

Download the updater...I believe there are two patches.But yeah, Google it.

I cannot find a halo 2 "updater"

I was on the Halo 2 website earlier and the update on the site does not appear to be the latest update.

some of them actually still play it i think.

When I read this thread title I thought that H2V had gotten some sort of update from MGS. I should know better :smith:
