I just installed H2V on my W7 machine. Registerd with my serial and started it up. I used my account to update to the latest GaysForWindowsLive version and then it asked me to login in again...
It started to download my profile then it just said "You may be using a account that is in a unsupported region" Or some bullshit like that.
What the fuck? This is the same account I've always used to play online. Why is it broken now. Fucking MS.
Had to do that with GTA4 a few times. didn't give me the problem anymore after the 3rd or 4th time.
Man I know everyone complains about it being a shoddy port, which it is, but could they at least get Live to work worth a damn? There is not one thing about it that works correctly 100% of the time. I've seen posts on the Gay4WindowsLive forums where the admins verbally abuse anyone who asks why a product does not work and never offer real solutions. And I think of a time when MS studios made/published/promised games I actually wanted.

I had to get pyong to make me a new account. The problem is actually that if you are logged into steam or xfire it fucks up the logins for GaysForWindowsLive. How fucking stupid.

are you using hte gfwl client outside of halo 2 to login?
I fixed it now. And no. I'm logging from the halo 2 menus.
