Map is currently in beta stage, been working on it for 1.5 weeks. I need to create portals, smoothing groups, etc...It should be done in a week.

This is more like the maps Halo needs. Actual game assets and textures being put in original environments AND keeping to that classic arena Halo I like. No modified campaign levels or dumb, AI-strewn cube worlds. 10/10 actually genuinely looking forward to release.

I'll put this on one of my servers, or like, spin up another server for custom maps.
IMO you could probably get away with upping the poly count on some of those rounded corners so they look less blocky. It's 2014 I don't think anyone would have a problem running the map if you did that.
Pardon my gross ignorance of Halo architecture styles, but the base of the columns in that first picture kind of struck me as forerunner. I mean, how the base extends up in the back and have the 45 degree angles on them. I don't recall if that was ever in any human architecture in the original game.
Other than that, I'm really digging this. It looks like it could be a stock map.
