It doesn't really tie in too smoothly with HL2's story - as those who have finished it (or up to Entanglement, at least), there were no humans in Nova Prospekt save those in pods, and the old prison blocks were abandoned. However, this mod sets out to form the rest of the prison's many blocks, and it does it brilliantly. It's supposedly 90 minutes' worth of gameplay, but the incredibly difficult patches you sometimes run into will likely stretch that a lot (plus I was doing a lot of exploring - it only caught my attention because it was set in Nova Prospekt, which was my favourite HL2 level and one of my favourite levels of all time with regards to design and artwork). There's a lot to explore, from cell blocks to service tunnels to the Depot's pod-sorting centre, and all in all it's worth it for the exploration value alone. The mod is quite hard, but after a while you should be able to work your way through. I suggest you save a lot.
All in all, a good bit of fun and some interesting expansion to a brilliant environment.

Numbness and rage.
Fright and anger.
I open my eyes. Oh, well. My cell is pitch dark anyhow.
"Block E1". I heard their inhuman voices.
Lying on this cold metal bed, I stretch my arms along my sides.
This must be the right posture to fit in a pod.
I do not tolerate the idea of not being ready.
Yes, but ready for what?
No, I won't give way to grief.
A squeaky sound...
No, no way. It can't be true.
The door opens, light replaces darkness.
I will ask for a reason later. Now I have a choice to take. An easy one.
I will run the hell out of here, whatever it takes.
It's time to get a little revenge.
It's time to start my own riot act.
Good stuff, fairly small download. Definitely worth checking out.

Also, keep an eye out for Causality Effect. Very interesting take on what could've happened due to the botched teleportation, has 4 endings, apparently. Just spent about an hour and a half playing it, very well-made and with the character's lines from HL2 used really well for once.

Re: So I found another sweet HL2 mod
Try Fortress Forever. It's a mod for Half Life 2 that Is just like like Team Fortress classic, except it's in the source engine, and soooo much better. Try it if you don't have TF2.
I'm mainly going for SP mods at the moment, need something to tie me over until I can afford ep 2 (or it comes down in price drastically, probably both) without straying too far from my beloved HL2.

It's similar to movies. It's not a good idea to see a popular movie the day its released. It's too packed and there are too many douchebags ruining the movie.
