halo 2 instalization help
My x box recently got red ring virus and 4 christmas i got a new acer laptop
with nvidia geforce 7000m graphics card
Well, when i installed the first time, i hit 'Play Halo 2 for Windows Vista' and it came up with a warning saying that my graphics hardware didnt match with those that Halo 2 could run on or something like that. I kind of ignored it and hit 'Run' and it worked just fine. then it cuts into the 'News and Updates' window, and i just hit 'Play'. well, it goes to the 'Preparing to install Halo 2 for Windows Vista' window, and after that it goes into the black screen as though it'll start.
Here's where the problem begins. It pops up with a window saying 'Initialization Failed. Either insufficient system resources were found to run the game, or game files were missing or corrupted. Uninstalling and reinstalling the game might solve the problem.'
I can't technically do anything to uninstall the game because it's not installed, and there's no 'Uninstall' option on the game menu, and it's not actually on my system, only parts of the game are, and i tried deleting those before but that didnt change anything.
What do i do?!
ps. i no that this has been posted b4 but i read the post and it didnt help.
Re: halo 2 instalization help
Geforce 7000M? It is integrated.
Integrated video card = BAD, BAD, BAD for gaming.
You can run H2V, but your framerate will be as shitty as your spelling and grammar.
By the way, the red ring thing is NOT a god damned virus. Just use your 3-year warranty (unless you voided it by hard-modding your 360) and problem solved.
Re: halo 2 instalization help
ha yea i know that its not a virus but it has been given the title of virus
anyways that put aside
do you know how to fix the problem
Re: halo 2 instalization help
I despite people that think that 1 little issue on their computer is a virus.
Fact is that you cannot run H2V. Put it back on your shelf and hope you might one day be blessed with an actual good computer from god, or something.
Re: halo 2 instalization help
i didnt say that it was a virus on my computer (you might wana read whole post next time) and why cant i run h2v
i know my computer isnt good but it meets all the requierments
Re: halo 2 instalization help
I was reading what Buckshot said. I didn't have the time or patience to read a wall of text that looks like you had a seizure on the ' button
Once again I will explain this. You have what is called a Integrated Video Chipset. This is probably the worst kind of video processing unit you can have. Most store bought computers or laptops have them. Basically They are built in to the mother board and display what you see on your monitor. This cannot run H2V. Even if it did I think you would not have fun running it at 2 Frames Per Second.
Sure you can go out and buy a graphics card, but before you ask. You cannot upgrade a laptops graphics card 99.9% of the time.
Re: halo 2 instalization help
oh alright well
is there anyway to tell if you can upgrade your graffics card

Re: halo 2 instalization help
If you are the .1 percent that can replace your video card and can in fact find one for under 800 dollars I will submit a video on youtube of my shit stained underwear. Seriously.
