Customized BR's

I got bored, so i wanted to work on my old BR. here's some pics. Im thinking if i make a custom map with this stuff in it i'm gonna have the standard BR as startup, and three different types of br around the map. So, in total there will be four different versions of the BR to choose from.

This model is completely custom. No ripping was done here.

it wont be obvious with the skin, so i dont care. And why shouldn't i do br with gl? because CMT had it first? well, that br is mine and i control the idea. So, boo hoo im doing a grenade launcher attachment :D

Those look very nice, +rep. But could you please show us a picture of the BR with a shotgun attachment? Good luck on putting these into a map, I can't wait.

Thos models look very cool, and wait to see the shotgun attachment on it, that'll be a fun one to have in game. :p

ya, I love the shotty, that'll be a fun weapon to have when you're trying to sniper people and some one sneaks up behind you.

finished reuving the rifle, the old one was too crappy compared to what i can do now. I'm going to uv the attachments tomorrow.

Im going to release all the tags when im happy with em. BTW, i just finished UV'ing all of the models other than the grenade, because im still modelling it. Im gonna start skinning and animating tomorrow if i have time.

The CMT weapons are shit compared to that, and you can probably make better tags too.

I haven't seen much of your work in the ingame field, but the CMT weapons suck horribly when it comes to tags, as in the current cmt maps need an overhaul

WOL, the models look great, I especially like the marksman carbine. :) My only gripe is that the grenade launcher variant doesn't look that "Halo-ish". Keep up the good work though.

That grenade launcher was just a stand in, its actually the M203 that i modeled for snaf's modern combat mod. Im modelling the new one now.

Whoa, good catch Rossmum.

Oh, the lip on the front of the Marksman Carbine scope has to be drawn out at the top.

The Marksman BR's has a 6x magnification scope like the one in halo 3. take a look at the br here, then go back and look at mine.

cool, didnt know there was a wshot. I didnt want it to look exactly like the h3 rifle, i just wanted something that looked like a carbine and it ended up looking like the h3 one.

My favorite is the BR-Shotgun combo, it looks like something that would actually be used because it would probably be very useful.

Sounds like a cool idea. Rifles look good too, aside from a few smoothing errors. I don't really like your choice in rendering style, but to each his own. Good job.

Nah, these renders were all done pretty quickly on a low end computer. I just did some quick lighting and that was it.

Seeing as how you're modeling the ejection port, you may as well do the fire selector, and the ring indentations behind the muzzlebrake.

I want the carbine, just because I want a big rifle, but not exactly a sniper rifle.

How will the marksman BR be different than the normal one besides having more range, and a different model? And how will you reload the shotgun on the bottom of the BR-Shotgun combo?

My guess is the Carbine would be semi-automatic instead of 3 round burst.

That's what I was thinking too. It will probably have more zoom and be more accurate too.

About the Stealth thing, i have to admit that you guys were acting pretty fucking immature. It's just a pic, and everybody jumped on him. I thought it was somewhat touching that somebody would work offa what i did. But yea, it did have its errors. You guys could have pointed them out a lot nicer. Polar managed to do that, so he saved the topic thankfully.

You guys need to look over whatever is causing you to jump on stealth whenever he does anything. So what if he's a noob? So what if he says stupid shit? is it going to ruin your fucking lives if he isn't banned?

you start off with two grenades, but you can pick them up. Shotgun starts with 6 shells, but you can hold a total of 24. Marksman carbine has 18 rounds in a clip.

I always felt it looked too tacky to make such an important detail skin-only... and seeing as how you already modeled the heatshield holes and the imprinted triangles along the side, it would make sense.

Also, are your animations the finals?
