I noticed there was no general thread for this, and since this covers multiple games, it wouldn't be right to post screenshots of different games in a Halo thread.
So, here's a new one. Post your multi-screen surround gaming screenshots here!
I'll start. :iamafag:

Bloody hell, do you actually play the games like that all the time or just did for the pictures? How many screens do you have? You need to take a video of your setup when running them all.

The HUD is stretched because Yelo doesn't work with 1.08. Also, so what if the HUD is stretched? Aspect ratio and FOV of the geometry is fine, and really, that's all that matters.
The only game imo thats good for dual screens is supreme commander. You can have the game run on 1 screen and your game windows on the other.

Google SoftTH, it'll explain how it works best. :)
In short, the main video card renders that massive image alone, then sends the sides of the image to memory then to the second video card to display on the 3rd screen.

Re: Multi-Screen Gaming
I always thought the only games that really should have multimonitor setups is the RTS and MMO. Both of these games have 2 big things that set them apart from others: in-game windows. With some games, there's so much shit to manage that only an 1/8th of the screen is actually the game. Because of this, having a second or third monitor is beneficial if you actually want a good view of the action. Other than that, it feels awfully unnatural. I know it's an FOV thing, but I just can't stand the geometric stretching done on the far left and right of the view (especially in FPS games).
E- Just noticed with the SupCom screenie that the stretching doesn't occur on the ends. This is what I would prefer when using multimonitor setups, rather than having, say, a pole on the right side of my screen look like a wall.

What?
The the human field of view, or vision span, averages between 120 and 140 degrees. The peripheral vision can go as far as almost 180 degrees. Many sources say different things, but they all fall within a range. The FoV of these games is 130 degrees.

Re: Multi-Screen Gaming
Once you go dual monitors, I highly doubt you will ever go back. My productivity with school/work has increased tremendously. To be able to have Word on one screen and Wikipedia on the other is absolutely fantastic when you want to write papers. On the flip side, running a game in one monitor and a website/map layout/achievement listings/keyboard shortcuts in the other is one of the handiest things I've ever come across.
For me, I would not recommend the dual monitor gaming, with one game spanning across both. Almost 90% require your eyes to be drawn to the center of your screen at all times, so it would not make sense to put a "wall" right in front of that area. People will argue, but I don't care. It would be just like 6" think piece of duct tape and putting it right in front of your windshield. You don't gain anything by losing key elements!
In all honesty, get another monitor. Personally, I have a 22" Dell LCD on the left which I use at 1680x1050 for main programs (word, photoshop, VLC, games) and my old, clunky 17" KDS CRT monitor at 1280x1024 for my secondary uses like email, web, torrents, explorer windows, and Acrobat. Neither monitor has to be the same make/model or even the same resolution!
To wrap up my thoughts on this issue, dual screens (or more) can increase the work/play potential of your computer, while decreasing the time to get (sometimes) vital information.
Don't knock it till you try it.

Re: Multi-Screen Gaming
Unfortunately I don't have multiple monitors of the same screen size/res but I would love to replicate this if I had the chance.
I have done dual monitors with SupCom by connecting my laptop to my desktop monitor, though. It's the only game I have that won't be affected by the big differences in screen size and res.

{CI} F50 NOS: Mutiple monitors is a pointless thing to do.
{CI} F50 NOS: First off, neither SLI nor CrossFire allows a hookup of 3 monitors, so you have to use another program, which slows it down.
{CI} F50 NOS: Then there are those lines down the middle.
{CI} F50 NOS: Then there is the price for all the hardware.
{CI} F50 NOS: And then what benefit do you get? It's just extremely large. Nothing else.
{CI} F50 NOS: Of course, 640x480 and 1600x1200 is a huge difference. But 1600x1200 is more than enough.

Re: Multi-Screen Gaming ~ ATTN: THIS IS THE BEST THREAD IN THIS FORUM ~
Actually, I would hate having a single large monitor. It is really bad when you think about practical use.
With multiple displays, you can decide which ones to have your windows on, dock objects to certain areas of the screen, and have certain screens dedicated for specific tasks. For example, I sit at my desk with my Firefox on the middle monitor maximized. My right monitor handles all of my instant messaging, while my left monitor does all the misc apps. When I'm playing a game on my 360 (also something you can't do with a single large display), I use the center monitor for that while I have Firefox on the left monitor.
One thing I emphasized was "maximized". This is important, because with a single large display, if you maximize the window, you will take up the ENTIRE screen. This will not only look incredibly STUPID since web pages aren't designed to be displayed like that (and I doubt you want to rotate your head while reading), but it will make it so you don't have any actual deskspace which is why you want larger monitors and multiple displays to begin with.
Also, yes, 3 monitors is fantastic for video editing.

THREAD COMEBACK!
I'm celebrating after getting this cheap crappy ATI HD3450 graphics card to replace my crappy ATI Radeon X600. Stupid ATI dropped support for the R420 core in their 9.4 drivers, so when I went to update them, I found out that you can't be running different WDDM drivers. My left monitor failed to work, so I needed to get a card that would be more recent and supported by the drivers that my primary card can pass the rendered frames onto.
So, I was bored and I wanted to get more pics for this thread, so I decided to subject myself to the almost unbearable torture of playing BioShock. God damn this game fucking blows. Only game so far I was reluctant to get pics for. It never deserved to be the game of the year or any of the praise it got. It just plain sucks.

The game has nothing unique about it.
The story is extremely dull and poorly written.
The graphics were absolutely nothing different from the average good looking game of 2007.
The redundant gameplay is so terribly redundant.
That said, the game does a good job at placing you in an underwater abandoned city.......but that's it.
The only reason it got the praise it did was due to how much it was overhyped. I'll admit, I was extremely excited for the game, and I couldn't wait to play it. However, when I did play it, after about the fourth level it just got boring and I got sick of the redundant gameplay.
