As there's only a few people here with nice pretty DSLR cameras, I figured i'd get a competition going for people with point and shoots, phone cams and webcams. There's nothing like a bit of blur!
Theme: Pets (cats dogs fish small children)
Restrictions: Photos must be taken with a point and shoot camera, a webcam or phone camera (even though I don't own one myself). Photos must also be taken during the contest.
Deadline: The contest has already started, and ends around a week from now (provided there's enough entries and i'm online). So get your cameras out and lets see your best shots!
NB: this contest is serious.

This contest is mainly for a bit of fun (even though I can't enter myself :[). If this is a success, next week'll be mid-range cameras. Wanted to start this off as something a large number of members can enter into (and hopefully will!)

Re: [COMP]Crappy camera photography competition!
I missed a great opportunity today, my cat was about to pounce on a family of like 7 ducks that were walking across the street. Sadly, they were moving away from me, and i couldn't get my phone out quick enough. Plus my cat will run away if you get too close, so it would have been hard to get a good one.

Re: [COMP]Crappy camera photography competition!
We can edit them a little right? As in B&W, sepia, or some other small effect?

Sorry Timo, I don't own any crappy cameras :realsmug:
Well, I guess I could use my Holga...
Just got back from my trip to Beijing tonight, so I'll get on this project soon.
E: I had this nice shot of my dog I took with my Holga, but then I read the "must be taken during this competition" rule. Lame, I took it in January :saddowns:
I'll post it spoilered, just for kicks. (the black line is a piece of tape that held in the batteries for the flash that came loose and covered the film.)
Exposure slightly pushed digitally, as there was it was very slightly underexposed

Keeping still shouldn't be an issue as long as you shoot it with natural light. Artificial light, though it may appear bright, is (as you should know) flickering on and off 50/60 times a second (depending on where you live, obviously), so to get a decent shot indoors at a "clean" ISO, you'd need to shoot at 1/15th-1/30th (or slower), meaning blurred shots. So if you don't want to take your snake outside, put it on a windowsill or something. :eng101:

Heres some pictures I took with my sisters camera phone. Her phone is a Samsung S8300 and the quality of the pictures is really good for a camera phone.

This was taken with my camera phone. My cat had kittens, and I decided to place them on the chair and take a picture. http://johnflasser.scifi-frontier.co...06/kittens.jpg
There's 3 there, but one's showing his butt :)
