Custom Weapon Models tutorial link
I'm starting a tutorial on Custom Weapon Models in H2V but Modnexus is dead so this has been placed into a docx file and relocated to the Halo Repository: http://www.monstrmoose.com/MMreposit...0in%20H2V.docx
Its turning out to be much longer of a tutorial then even I guessed so I'm not really sure when it will be finished, but I'll update on here when it is. Also, I've added lots of pictures so its easy to follow.

So ModNexus has finally given me permission to edit my own tutorial after locking down the entire site for fear of mass exodus of content after trying to claim ownership of all data. I'll try to pull myself away from other projects when I get the chance. In the meantime, here is the latest release of Fuel Station, a weapon test map featuring weapons such as:
-CE Assault Rifle
-CE Pistol
-Alien Pike
-Gravity Hammer
-Spartan Laser
-Sentinel Beam (of which Bungie/HG partially left some of its tags out)
-Portable Chain gun and Gauss gun turrets
-360° turret
-Portable Gravity Lift equipment

This has been known for ages now :/ Remeber the model convertor app from halo ce to h2v.

But H2V's bones support 4 weights while Halo 1 only supports 2. From my memory I think thats right. But this info has been out for awhile.

The tutorial was started because this information needs to be readily available in one place, not a hundred random posts.
Also, I will be adding many steps I could not find online, only through days of trial-and-error. These steps should allow you to make proper use of the existing H2V weapon animations to allow for proper reload and what-not.

Hmm, glad to see this stuff's finally being researched... hopefully sometime there will be a way for the public to do custom animations as well, but I doubt it'll be soon.
I may try a shock rifle on H2V if it's capable enough.

You can test out a few of the weapons in this new release of Template_SYM (WIP) 10.17.09:

The Splazer's animation is fail, I know, its in-game and for the time being that will suffice, besides it can be fixed later.
The Portable Gravity Lift has multiple issues and lacks the effects but the important part is that it works. You can deploy ten of them before you run out.
The OG CE Pistol makes an appearance and is really fuckin deadly.
Everyone starts with a BR and a Gravity Hammer...more infos in readme.

can you use a different file hosting service like filefront or megaupload? that site is telling me to wait 2 hours to download, and that isnt going to happen.

Hi Resinbal,
I just gone through your and link you post in your post, Well your so big and like way you explain your discover and the photo you have post just amazing look and the most weapon I like is CE Pistol, the Small Gun, Potable Chain gun and the Gauss gun turrets etc.The design of the weapons absolutely stunning.

Thanks for the good words. Hopefully I can find the time to finish the tutorial and finalize more of these weapons. The Assault Rifle just got a healthy upgrade and people keep bothering me about the Splazer, so that is probably whats next.

Besides the other weapons, this release features the new Box Shield and an improved Splazer, improved AR and improved Gravity Lift. The Flamethrower IS STILL BROKEN.

I think that yo can use settings to move the positions of the hands, or the whole fp arms for the specific gun, if that was done, I'm sure you could have the splazer look a bit better.

I'm trying to map out the difficult stuff first, then I clean em up, the Splazer still needs a few tweaks but it performs pretty well. The third person model was the hassle.

Yes, the function is in the shader. Same for ammo numbers.
