Alright, trying to get back into HCE (Something about versions?)

So I've been playing pretty much nothing but TF2 and WoW for around 4 months now and want a change of pace. But I see at least 3 versions of HCE that are active, and I'm not quite sure whether or not to fully update.

So, my questions (Addressed to the individuals of Modacity, not Modacity as a whole [If that makes sense]) are:
What version of HCE are you using?
What version do you think is most active?
Which version has the most peripheral support?
And finally, what custom maps are being played now, if any?

1.07? Doesn't really matter, get the 1.07, 1.08, and 1.09 executables and the version changer if in doubt!

1.07. Version Changer.

You can't go wrong.

Try to get many versions .exes and change between them with version changer. If I find no interesting games I change from 1.09 back to 1.00, 1.07 and 1.08.

I think 1.08 has the best support. It has everything you need working for it. 1.07 has older apps, but most of those apps have better replacements for 1.08. Plus, 1.08 still has support for apps like Pat's new flycam, and OS isn't for 1.07 or 1.09.

Yoyov2 never gets played, neither does revelations, the only custom I ever see in the lobby is coldsnap. 1.0 is full of stock map kids, no customs there either.

Yoyov2 never gets played because its buggy as hell and lags the fuck out of people with shitboxes, causing a poor experience all around.
