System link / 4-Player Coop For Halo 1 [New Downloads!]

Hey guys I know this is an old topic. However some former halomod users have started working on this again. The sync errors occur when switching bsps, however that has been somewhat fixed. Also sync errors occur when there is too much action, so we've limited some of the ai. We plan on making them a little harder to bring down since we had to remove some. Anyway we have a10.map working fine, come check it out. If you can help test maps pm me.

Right now these are for xbox, pc might be made later. Adolif has plans on getting the whole campaign done. Just replace your beavercreek map with this one and load. Works great for xbc...

For a PC version, it would help if we combine the bsps into 1, so that'll save you from de-syncing, then re-purpose all scripts and ai encounters.

According to the comments, "Walking on Walls" was enabled.

Adolif, will probably start a30.map soon. If anyone else has any experience with scripts and what not, give me a pm. Anyway all the work is being done with HEK then the maps are being converted with Arsenic to xbox. If you want to know more of the details pm Adolif in the other forum. Overall though its looking promising. Oh and yes the "walking on walls" is used to help if someone falls of a cliff in a level, so they can get back up. That feature isn't very practical in this level so I am sure Adolif will remove it.

also how do you get this to work? are you supposed to transfer the file over to a modded xbox or something?

Makes me want to dust off my old modded xbox, Little off topic: I never really looked at arsenic past beta stages looks pretty cool, I'd love to convert some more CE maps over.

Just download the map, and replace it over your orginal beaver creek (back up original beaver creek name it something like beavercreek_org.map). It must be "beavercreek.map" it must be titled that I mean. That it, just replace it. Then load up system link and select beaver creek and a10 will load...

Level Halo:

This is technically an unreleased version as of now (this will be the highspeed version). I did have to take out a few drop ships, only two and limit the guys in the dropship areas. Other then that she's very much the same. This version on the youtube was rescripted by Adolif I just added a few guys back in and tried to keep the dropships in. Again this is for higher speed connections or just local system link. I'm guessing it would far pretty decent over xbc. The highspeed version will be posted when its bugless.

Adolif has released a version that still has a few bugs in it (posted at rework3d). However at the moment he is working on a lower speed version. The low speed version is below for download. The low speed version is a dropshipless version, which still has an out of sync after a few waves of enemies at the beginning. Very easy to solve though, so for now. Just to wet your appetite, try this current version out...

So, can this be done on a 360? I don't know jack shit about modding Halo 1 (or 2 for that matter).

No, sorry just the original xbox. If you have one just softmod it, ftp to the xbox and replace the "beavercreek.map" for a10 (level pilliar) and sidewinder for a30 (level halo). You can also replace the ui.map with the one posted.

Sounds like you can do it on 360 with a hot-spawped .iso.

Just came across this forum. Really keen on getting some local 4 player coop via lan on 2 xboxes for halo 1 and halo 2. Found this and was very interested. Was just wondering how progress was going with it and how many levels you guys have moded to allow this 4 player coop.

P.S. Yes I am a n00b at modding and this sort of stuff so please be gentle :)

Lol. Wow. People have asked me for it, but I keep forgetting to upload the files. I have the latest version of this if anyone wants it. It's just whenever someone gets in touch with me and says "Hey! I want that please!", I end up responding and saying okay, I need to know where to upload! And then I don't get a response back for weeks, and by that point I've forgotten about the whole thing. Okay, thanks! The files are uploading now. Have been for about an hour, so they're at a little over 50% now. In approximately one more hour, it will be done uploading and up for grabs for whoever wanted/wants them. lol.

I'd appreciate it if someone downloads them from there and puts them on MediaFire or something for download. I suppose I could do it, but the FTP is more for storing stuff than acting as an actual download server.
