what type of guitar is that? is that a schecter?
You also need to do some tweeking for your intonation to make sure it's as close to in tune as possible, and you gotta watch that G string, cause they're always a mother fucker for tuning.
You've got good timing and you've got the passion enough to record yourself doing it, so thats really all you need.
Yeah it's a Schecter. I wanted to check my intonation a few days ago, I have some free time today so I might do it today. Is it a common problem with Schecter and the G-string? I remember a time having a problem with it but now it stays in tune just beautifully.

I like D string. It doesn't fucking go out of tune as easily as the rest of them.
how i managed to get around mine (for the most part) is i have a Roland GR 55 Guitar synth board, which lets me adjust tunings on the fly, without touching anything. Saves me having to play with it all the time and in my opinion it holds a note a hell of alot better now.

As much as I understand the disdain for 4 and For Answer I enjoyed the atmosphere of melancholy and despair in the story, especially when you find out who White Glint is this time around.

Most of the crap masquerading as death metal these days actually isn't. Old school death metal wasn't about just being as br00tal as possible, it was about creating an eerie atmosphere, like a horror movie.

the thing is in most death metal i've heard, the guitars are a VERY poor substitute for vocal melody. Because it's just to be BROOtAL MAN.
I'll listen to screaming, growling, clean vocals and anything in between.... but it's just so incredibly obvious when you compare shit like that to say In Flames who are genuinely very melodic. Hell or even Parkway Drive.
The entire point of screaming and growling is to get across powerful emotions, whether it's resolve, anger, hate, fear or whatever. That message is ultimately watered down by it ONLY being screaming. So it's actually less BRUTAL..........
Yeah Cannibal Corpse wasn't a great example. But I was at work and posting links from my phone is a HUGE pain in the ass, so I just posted the first few songs that came to mind where the vocalist is doing more than monotone cookie monster grunts. I'm not a fan of those either.Quote:
