343 announces new F2P Halo PC game tailored for Russian audience

Most of me wants to think this is an April fools joke. It says on the site they "partnered with Saber Interactive and Innova Systems to make an all-new, free Halo multiplayer PC experience that will launch in spring, only in Russia."

It's running on a heavily modified Halo 3 engine so it can work well on older systems.

Go to halo-online.ru and click on создай аккаунт on the right side. Click on Facebook icon, sign in with facebook. Check the box and accept. Tell them where you live and your email. Now all you need is a code.

Of course, it has halo 4 assets. no way it's possible for those old engines to handle high definition and modern assets.

It's running way smoother than h2v ever did on my PC.

Anyways I was so fucking pissed when it was announced for Russia only, I'm glad it was leaked. Kind of expected Russians leak Microsoft Builds all the time...

I don't know if this has been posted yet, but forge is now playable and works to a decent degree.

"Works" as in you can place weapons and that's it because we can't change menus. D:

You can now navigate the forge menus with a x360 controller in the latest release.

My camera keeps pointing upwards while in forge mode...
