I'm curious to see what people ended up doing a decade after all of what was modacity.
Personally i ended up staying in touch with a few people from here, some less out of my own choice than others.
what's everyone been up to and accomplished in the meantime?

Not much related to what I used to do here, although I did join a new game which I'm still sort of having doubts about, "Star Citizen" its a crowd funded MMO... having second thoughts about doing the "pre order pledge" I get access to the alpha versions they released.. I mean its a cool concept, and if they pull it off how I'm hoping; then I'll probably play it a lot... but right now its kind of jus average...
I'm attracted to it because it has an FPS element mainly; don't get me wrong I love flying space craft, but im not very good at it; I'm better off using a gunner seat. MMO FPS games on the other hand I love... and since the game is still in development I can give some input if I ever get around to making some concepts, I'm scarcely working on some sketches; might try getting into making 3d models again and make some of these ideas into models if I like em enough...
Other than that I barely do any of the stuff I used to do related to Halo CE... most of my work was all un-released, and the one project I was working on before I left was lost due to a hard drive failure... sorta put me off because it was the most complete I ever came to making a full BSP for the game... that and the folks I used to correspond with were basically gone anyway.
TL;DR
I don't do much related to what I used to do here 3d modeling and stuff.. but I'm thinking about giving it another go for a new game called Star Citizen; mostly just concept work if anything very doubtful that they'd actually use my stuff but w/e i sorta miss modeling anyway; be a good place to start again.
E: Although.... I was considering looking into that Unreal Engine... anyone making anything for that yet? I've yet to download any of it or do anything with it, been procrastinating it...
Star citizen? Isn't that the game where it's renowned as a ponzi scheme where people have poured millions of dollars into with no return on investment because of feature creep?

I am a systems engineer at a major defense contractor by day, and by night I'm doing one of three things: being the scourge of MechWarrior: Online, spending way too much money on cosplay shit, or writing.
And I still keep in general contact with TeeKup and Warlord/Cobby. Pyong is also still a conversation terrorist, so there's him, too.
Junior year software engineer. Picked up a job doing application support at a children's charity doing C# .Net. Going to be quitting soon to take on school full time again.
I wish there were more jobs where I could work remotely.

Well I'm finally going back to school after a long hiatus due to personal reasons.
My problem is I cant decide what to do; while I have natural abilities in multi media art and drawing; I'm also very into reading about physics quantum mechanics and other scientific subjects...
I just don't have the math skills for it...
Good news is I'm going to get a certificate in digital production (which can go towards a degree) and I have a friend who is the Video Production Manager for a marketing company; with that he can hire me; and I'd basically be doing video editing which I'm fairly decent at...
I am going to take the math placement tests again though and give that another try; just because... my passion is Science... and science needs maths.

I would be mildly interested in a project, but your project is in Unity ; _ ; I just spent all last summer playing in Unreal.
I spent two years working on Project M, a Super Smash Bros Brawl mod that makes Brawl not a shitty game. We did some great things with that game, and I absolutely loved the team that I was working with. Now, a year after we shut down Project M I'm happily working with several Project M dudes at a studio where we're aiming to make our own platform fighter with our own IP. It's coming along super well, and the team has been a blast to work with.

Other than that, like @Plasbianx mentioned earlier, my little brother (24 years old) passed away in May in a car accident. He was my best friend, and I'm still absolutely gutted, and I cry every day because of it. I miss that little guy more than I can express, and it shatters me to know that he'll never get to see me actually succeed in chasing my dreams, and I'll never get to be the crazy uncle for his kids that he'll never have.
At the funeral, lots of people asked about the penguin figure alongside all his other stuff. I'm Llama Juice, his online name was Penguin Salad. He and I would play everything together, and with him living 2000 miles away, our game sessions were always the best way to spend time with him.
The one thing that does give me a little bit of comfort in all of this is that the last thing that I had said to him, and the last thing he had said to me was "I love you bro."
So yea, it's been a roller coaster of a year.
