Comcast bullshit. My upload was close to 500k with Adelphia, not to mention the download was stable. I've been on this Comcast line for like 3 months now or so, and I still don't know what it's capable of.
Copying this from the previous tests page,

speedtest.net seems to be a better test, so I'll post that score:

The local DSL turned to shit recently so we switched over to cable. Our neighbors must be up fappin' reeeaaalll late, because it would randomly slow down all the time. So we got the fastest we could get in the area, which is this.

Currently, my router say :
Downstream : 5088kbit/s

Thanks Verizon for advertising it for 3Mbps/768kbps
http://www.speedtest.net/result/147419082.png
Had it at 12k.
Back when we first got internet on our shitty Windows ME computer, our ISP was completely unlimited, back then the max that we got to was around 100 Mb/s up and down. Boy was that fun downloading music off the interwebs.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/142053418.png
Should be getting 5mb/s up >:|
Man, I am jealous as HELL. I mean, I do a speed test to a server that's in the same town as I am, and I get 350kb/s download and a little over 90kb/s upload. Damn it, I should be able to get better internet than this! Of course, there are only two other forms of internet I can get here... the local Cable provider, and Telus Dialup (just to clarify, our cable is so bad that Telus Dialup is faster and more reliable).
Better yet, when I move south for my post-secondary education in September, the internet I'll have has a max download of 35kb/s and a max upload of 10kb/s. BEAT THAT!
I like how my upload is the worst here, besides Timo and Jelly. :smith:
Uploading things is boring.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/148721226.png
This is mine with comcast.
http://www.testmy.net/share-Z5RSKPTIN
I get 1200 Baud. That's good, right? I can download a 6 kb text file in three minutes! Totally badass.
I lol'ed. Away, here mine...
http://www.speedtest.net/result/148834146.png
It would be alot better but I'm using crap-tacular wireless.
http://www.testmy.net/share-6BJLQX2F...s&q2=4KWZ78G6Y
My download is pretty consistent. My upload fluctuates a lot, but the cap is at 256 kbps. It drops down to 100-150 sometimes. :(

Firesyth, UK's speeds are going to increase dramatically within 5 or so years, going to over take US :) so its all good.
Japan's average net speed is 60Mbps. fucking overkill or what.

Meh, a lot better than I thought it would be.
SBC Yahoo! DSL ain't that bad.

http://www.speedtest.net/result/150470986.png^Britian has fast download but slow upload
Holy shit is that for real? Anyway, I bumped for a reason. Now that I have my computer hooked up directly to a router instead of wireless, my download speed has doubled. For some reason my upload still fails though...
http://www.speedtest.net/result/157140795.png
So basically,
WIRELESS FTL!
Wireless:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/156003175.png
What the hell...
Ill have to get my direct later...
Yes... Strange I know.. Still gotta get my direct later.
Here mine /cry i hate it
http://www.speedtest.net/result/157249251.png
Ouch, how are your speeds so slow? Look at my score, and I'm using a wireless B connection placed about 20m away and one floor above my router. Imagine my speed using a direct Cat 6 cable, which is what I use for plugging in laptops if I must download a large file very quickly.
EDIT: Sry, misread the units.
The below image should say 595 kB/s download and 53.5 kB/s upload:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/157846476.png
It's real. Still need to plug my computer into the wall. wireless for my computer is a little slow.
Edit:Here is my computer plugged in:

Damn dude what kind of internet do you have?
Comcast Cable.
Nice speeds thar. At my school I was downloading the 3ds max9 demo at about 10 mb/s, so I'll need to go get myself a 16 mile long cat 5 cable and figure out how to route it where no one will fuck with it >___>.
and zomg, People use MPLAB here. <3
HOLY SHIT, that's incredible! Alby, how much do you pay? Is it a premium service from comcast? Those speeds are faster than the top business ones here in Toronto!
I think its $50 a month... I have Comcast as well, and my wireless was getting the same speed... Wonder what my direct is..
I don't have the premium service. My dad just called them about 4 times to tell them that the internet was going at 150kb/s download even when it was 15mb/s, so they kept bumping the speed up for us.
^ I am so doing that.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/158471756.png
I may have a second antenna in the back of my pc, borrowing my neighbors wifi:XD:
:Smith:Quote:
Last Result:

It is probably just Comcast's speed boosting. Some areas get the said boost because of competition from FIOS and the like, from what i've read. It only stays at those awesome speeds for a short time though. He may have a higher tier that comcast doesn't offer here though, so I could be wrong about his case. :p
Also, I wish I had something other than Comcast here. :(
http://www.speedtest.net/result/159424245.png
Meh,good for government internet with over 5,000 users on it @ once....
EDIT Do I have the best upload speed here?
http://www.speedtest.net/result/159796348.png
meh im on wireless atm...
I can get about 30% more speed when directly connected to my cable though... its fast enough for me I think...
EDIT: Don't buy a linksys router, they suck at port fowarding, at least with my experience with this damn thing... I have trouble doing aim file transfers XD
Finally got new Inet
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1436769237.png
and this is with wireless, unplugged notebook through 1 concrete floor :P

While running a Minecraft server. nbd
so this is the same internet iv been using for years, with my new pc. apparently my old laptop is horrible with internet.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1437667694.png
also, i retract my previous statement about my laptop's wireless. i have refreshed 6 times, and speedtest just hangs at 100% loaded when i try to access it from my wireless card. my fucking router is just a piece of shit. and LOL paladin.
Can wait for my ISP to increase my upload speed in the Fall...
Jesus christ.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1438260899.png not even trolling.
bitch PLEASE
hey neuro stop posting Ubisofts internet connection!!!
yeah, it's terrible :saddowns:
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1441077458.png
I got some lubricant.
http://www.speedtest.net/result/1441208586.png
What are you guys paying??
I am paying 170$$$ and I don't have these speeds. :|
For $135/month I can get 100Mbps Down and 5Mbps up with no bandwidth cap. This plan is being upgraded to 250Mbps Down and 15Mbps up in the Fall sometime at no cost to the customers. So yeah, move somewhere better in Canada.
http://img855.imageshack.us/img855/3117/shawplans.jpg
This is from Shaw if you're curious, best Western Canada ISP. They mostly operate in BC, Alberta, and a bit in Saskatchewan. We have Broadband 50 right now, we may upgrade to Unlimited 100 (and then Unlimited 250 when they automatically make it available in the Fall). I think the top-end Unlimited plans are actually better bang for your buck than the other plans since they don't have caps. I can easily hit my 400GB/month cap by running a web server, game servers, TeamSpeak 3 server, and then general usage...
Still quite expensive compared to other countries...but then again Canadian wage is higher.
I got 2322 Kbps on my 3G the other day when i tested it. I tested my speed in the site IP-Details.com and was pleased with that speed. I am in New York.
I get like 5Mbps down and 3Mbps up on my iPhone 4.
WHAT THE FUCK?:

And where is that fucking Oranges?
So those phase 2 plans I posted above came out:
To the city directly North of me:

West coast:
http://speedtest.net/result/1839787727.png
East coast:
