i was reviewing some threads and it seams to me that CMT likes the BRG more then a lot of the community does. so i thought why is it in the SPv2 then? well i couldnt come to a conclution so i fugure that a majority of the community likes the BRG but only the people who hate it are posting about it. i had no proof of this so i thought that a poll would awnser the question.
i am not saying that the BRG shouldnt be in SPv2 i am trying to figure out if it should carry over to H2Vita.
Personally I like the BRG, however I thought it was way over powered in SPV1, and also I dont like the fact that you can only shoot grenades from the grenade launcher add-on rather than switch between using the grenade launcher or throwing plasmas/frags. The thing is that without the grenade launcher add-on the battle rifle is just a cheap pistal imatation which is only taking up tag space. What I think CMT should do is just reduce the grenade count on the grenade launcher from 12 to 6 and get rid of the arch on the grenade launcher to it shoots straight like in the CMT MP maps.
I also think that CMT should make the barrel of the battle rifle twice as long so it looks like the H3 battle rifle with a grenade launcher add-on. :D
Well, it's sort of like a trademark of CMT to have the BRG in their maps. I find it useful at times, though every now and then I wish i could use regular grenades with it. However, I can predict that this thread won't get far, as a member of CMT is surely going to swoop in and remind us that they don't have an obligation to do this for the community, and generally try to act like internet tough guys.
The BRG from the Multiplayer maps, but I really wish that they re-did the grenade explosion for the BRG. Sometimes in the first SP, I get killed by my own Spartans by the grenades they shoot at me. I dislike how you can't throw fragmentation and plasma grenades when you have the BRG though.

I agree, and I think the current CMT weaponset is pretty balanced. People mostly are complaining about it because they lack in skill and are blaming the new weaponset.
Honestly I think the weapon set is fine in itself. Its just that I have a bad memory and forget that I'm using the BRG. All I want is that I get an option to change grenades so I'm not forced to use the BRG everytime I switch to it (Of course knowing Id forget to switch to the other nades when using it too......). I love the BR but the BRG has fustrated me on many occasions.
Also speaking of it do your allies with BRs still blow you and your fellow teammates up?
you know, that is very true. the cmt has done a very good job of balancing their weapons... the pistol is still good but not godly. why is this? i mean they didnt weaken it. the truth is they made everything else sort of mold around it. i mean the assualt carbine is a longrange fully automatic weapon, and if your good with it you can put anyone in their place, but at close range its weak. it sort of subtracts from the pistols mid-range dominance. thats just one example of course
I like the BRG more than the ordinary BR, because the BR feels more like a bigger pistol and the granade launcher is very useful.
i think they should possibly have both in the future.
the brg as it is in the most modern mp maps (thats the new one anyway)
and maybe a br that has a 2x to 8x scope, and is as accurate as the pistol in and out of scope.
the big thing that sucks on the brg is it isnt very accurate out of scope, but in scope, its uber accurate. the nades also are perfect, they dont have to be strong, they just have to flip hogs (i love picking off flag hogs while on snow grove's ice)
and they can never have both plasma/frags and a gun based nade launcher on halo 1. something wrong with the engine, idk.
If the BR had 2x and 8x scope it would replace the sniper . I like the regular BR, and the BRG, but sometimes i get mad at the BRG because my lack of sensitivity. But i like tipping over peoples hogs, but one thing i don't like is how much people abuse the BRG.

It's custom, so that's points for it.
Since Halo is loosely based off modified themes of current warfare, a squad lacking such a weapon would just be assanine.
And that's why squads in Halo lack any sort of machine gun (Squad Automatic Weapon) :downs:.
the BRG sure does balance gameplay out when someone is noobing with a Rocket Launcher :).........but I don't care for it's--literally--"Firey ball" explosion
Yeah, the explosion was kind of lame. It was a big yellow puffball with a little bit of some, but the explosion itself had little to no texture (kind of like Halo 2's SPNKr explosion).
One of the best uses of the BRG is camping above the base in snowgrove, and nading some unsuspecting hog as it comes up. Then dropping a few more down there just for good measure. Great defensive tactic.

In MP yeah, but unless the Flood are rockin' out hogs this time (which I imagine they will be) it won't be that useful for AV... unless you count flippin' turrets in that category. It was damn good for that.
It was my favorite answer for PR spamming Jackals, as well.

I'm still wondering why the hunters are so hard to kill in Halo 2. Only thing that I know will kill them in one hit is a well rocket and one shot out of a fuel rod canon.
as far as i remember, [on legendary mb 2?], a well aimed sniper bullet in the back was enough to kill one of them.

Going from what kenny said about frag then shoot. You could always just do the same thing with the BRG. Its pretty accurate and most if not all the time either kills or depletes a elites shield. Though I do miss the AOE with the frag when I use it.

2. The BRG is a great weapon...in the right hands. Someone that uses it as a sub for frags and plasmas is bound to phail. I use it mostly to stop hails of fire, vehicles, or to still a kill >.> Its also good for killing around corners when a beeping shield enemy hides....
3. I think most of you forgot about the q-flip on snowgrove....it eliminates the need for it to be AV...
Ah...yes, the flashlight button, but I still use the BRG on the MP maps cuz it had good power/ROF for a carbine weapon, good stopping power, plus a nade for ghosts and hogs.
