It is. The only thing it does is fix all those live errors. It connects to the lobby much quicker then displaying -Not avalible-.
lame. that long to fix an error as small as that?
Of course, they wouldn't go ahead and mandate a fix for any game-breaking bugs like multishotting, or that random invincibility glitch. Nah, let's just make sure that the bloated, useless LIVE service remains in top shape for the people who actually think it's a good service to force on PC users.
Here are some changes...
The Windows live banner is now blue
Network information is now available, ip , port no etc
Voice threshold added (handy, no excuse for heavy breathing)
Plus some minor fixes
Yep, only for live. Now we're waiting for a real Halo 2 update.

I knew it would, but I must say the neon blue in the live window is a nice look. but still I was really hoping they'd fix some of the bugs in this topic. mostly the H2EK.
Wow. Why is it even an update if it's that small?
who knows, maybe to make people get of their backs for alittle bit of time so they can work on a bigger update.

The update was for Games for Windows - LIVE, which means it also affected Shadowrun, it is not a title specific update. We'll have more to say about a title update soon.

Well, I take that back, as that's comforting to hear that it wasn't a title update. Though I don't actually own the game, I try to pay attention to what's going on so I can help out as needed, and to see when some of the issues with the game are fixed. I love the game halo 2, even though the bugs and port issues still exist but G4WL just ruins the experience in too many ways, which is an almost unanimous opinion on this forum. Its not bandwagoning, since this general opinion is coming mostly actual users who are angered with the pointless, intrusive and forced service, not nay-sayers and trolls who never used it just hating it because the general public does.
bum says there's a title update coming... I'm happy because the game can only become better than what it is right now.
What I'm really hoping for is an update that fixes the still terrible mouse acceleration, and the fact that you have to stand still to crouch, even if using a gamepad. Better performance wouldn't hurt, either.
You know, maybe if we stopped the whole "bandwagon" vs. "fanboy" crap and actually made an effort to make this game and community better, there would be a lot less animosity in the air.

Personally, I didn't notice any difference in the time (either that, or it is just too minor to really notice). Any number of this can be causing you to be getting into servers faster, though. Hell, it could even be completely mental, with you just thinking it is faster because there was an update. Still, I'm not completely sure on this.Quote:
