A beta (and the only beta) of the new, less failure H3T has been released!

Bungie's rework of Blood Gulch brought to you with H3T content!

8-10 players on 1 Flag CTF

Supports all gametypes EXCEPT race.

Known bugs:
Mauler sounds doesn't sync
Less Halo 2 sniper moar Halo 3 sniper
Plasma pistol charging goes off hand sometimes
There might be an exception randomly I believe I removed it
Sniper rounds bounce more then once (Sucks to be in bubble)
Missile pod needs a skin
Ma5K needs a skin
Spiker needs a skin now
Make trip mine explode
Clinets may see 2 bubbles when deployed
Trip mine drops 2 instead of 1
Someone needs to fix gravity lift script *coughKillacough*
Plasma pistol charging sometimes goes out of the visor outline
Outline isn't transparent enough
Spartan laser charging laser removed due to switch of model so will add next test
Visor tooken out due to distration, will be added in when fixed
When overshielded, doesnt show pink or any diff color in shield bar
Weapons may asking you to reload even though your full
HUD needs a overhaul
Shotgun has only firing sounds
Shotgun needs new skin, model and animations
Some weapons dont have sounds like Plasma rifle
Pickup icons are lies!

Like no offense, but it's not that great for a release/beta. Get a bit farther before posting a beta.

Some of those bugs shoulda been fixed before releasing a beta. Like dropping two trip mines.

Your Carbine and MA5K look AMAZING!!!!! HOW DO YOU DO IT?

BTW biig update on the animations. I like them.

:/ I reeaallly do not like the plasma rifle. The back of it is waay too jagged.

Wow. At first this project was a fail whale. Then it started looking like an awesome possum. Now its looking like a fail whale again.

You guys release betas like everybody demands it. I think (and others too) that you would be better off releasing a alpha (kinda like this) then a good beta (IE H3 beta).

All I can say is get your shit together and make something.

Kiwi speaks in third person no matter what. It's his thing.

For this map I'll just put what I typed on Halomaps.

1. Mauler sounds are too low and can bearly be heard.

2. Gravity Hammer sounds are just like the Maulers. Can bearly be heard.

3. Get a new Sniper model as I know that is a placeholder. If you want I'll hand over mine and TAZZ sniper:

Thats bad.

Graphics is not what they care about, they care about gameplay right now....Play the map online, and give your opinion on the gameplay, yes, you can report bugs, but they know most of them. So here's what I think:
1) It still plays like Halo 1 because everyone just circles around each other shooting, unlike in Halo 3, where there's a melee dash which you can't really add to Halo 1.
2) Too hard to tell since it's on a Halo 2 map instead of a Halo 3 map, so it seems different.
3) To make it more like Halo 3, fix some of the weapon positions and animations, that's really what makes it not only look, but play like Halo 3.

The gameplay fucking sucks. They have no sense of how the weapons work.

I really dislike the needler for some reason.

also i was playing it and the mauler is too weak it took 4 shots to kill somebody at shotgun 1 hit distance the mauler is suposed to kill in 2 and most of the weapons are over powered

Having not played Halo 3 much,
I think that the needler needs a larger magazine, and I had a strange problem picking up the carbine, it wouldn't let me =/

Also, you're going to want a custom bsp, instead of the H2 coag.

i do believe you should post the credit to who did what cause i know other people had a hand in this as well.

I think when that many of the credits are going to other people, you have a problem. Glitches from the last map I played are still here, you can still shoot and melee with the BR at the exact same time (resulting in an instant kill), and there are some new glitches, i.e. the "recoil" on the sniper, which is so overdone it's extremely annoying.The laser charge is still wrong, the plasma pistol at least has a model now but it's terrible. None of that even details the WORST problem though, the sound. With the exception of the Assault Rifle, every single custom sound in this mod is TERRIBLE. They're too quiet, or they only come out of a single speaker, very often both. Hell, you even managed to ruin one thing you got right, the gravity hammer. The sound is now so weak the weapon is completely unsatisfying to use.

Oh, and the pistol still gets damned 3sks.

so really, the so called "H3T" did only two things. Tagging and animations (from what i understand, the sounds are NOT cleaned). Try harder, stop being leeches.

this map rocks. i played it with a few friends and gameplay was nice.

The Spiker looks good but u might need to put a skin on. I found a some glitches though.

i dont understand why h3t makes such flawed betas. they know damn well that they have these errors, and have a huge list of "known bugs" but they dont fix the "known bugs" first? laziness.

Revise your work yourself, theres a difference between public and private you know. Not to be rude or anything, but this hasn't been getting very far the past few weeks/months however long it's been for so many people. Even if school can get in the way. Nothing has changed, also a mod will never be as good as the real deal.

In my opinion betas are for finding bugs. If you've got a beta with 23 known bugs, shouldn't you fix them before letting people find more?

timo, like i said, they're doing it for attention. we already know how juvenile they are. there can be no doubt.

IMO, it isn't for the attention Snaf. They know they're supposed to be doing something, but they lack the motivation or skill to do anything more than compile crappy betas and play. Thats the easy way out.

I'm wondering if they even have the desire to do anything more than that. I don't know... you know him better than me, but I've yet to see anything disproving what I think of the team and their (what little is theirs) work.

I've told him over and over, he won't get anywhere unless he learns to overcome obstacles instead of running away and tackling a new one. It's his biggest problem.

I fucking hate h2/h3 mods.

Yes, because I can make a, h2 model of the plasma rifle, bitmaps of the brute spikers, meele animation of the covenant carbine, HUD pickup icons, hud reticles, and hud strings, example, you picked up a Spartan laser etc etc
