CMT looking for a new modeler.
CMT is looking for a new modeler. I can't give the specifics of what the job contains here, but whoever wants to take this job will be working on custom content, unrelated to h2, h3, halowars, halobooks, halo comic and halo plush toys. You will also be working closely with Jcap and I, and have to be open minded to revisions and tweeking. Speed is also important if you're interested in taking this position. So if you're intersted, just post some of your best model work and if we think you're right for the job, we will contact you.

as for me, as much as i would love to, i still have a long way to go. I'm not good enough, yet.

I would volunteer, I know I could probably do it, its just the speed would hold me back... I'm really slow at modeling, and it takes me weeks on what would take tweek or someone a day. Plus I don't visualize how to make something due to me not knowing the entire 3ds max modeling process. >...> I need a lot of practice. Good luck finding someone though. (You'll probably classify this as spam, if so; sorry.)

I'd nominate Gaigher. Given that most of CMT are white men (not being racist), I'm sure at least one of them has learned French.
Ross and Reaper Man are other nominations.
I need to start learning how to get a sense of style before I attempt modeling (I have toyed with the tools before, but I never got around to producing anything beyond a crate).
Whoa Masters, for once you're doing something that's not with any of the Halo engines (while they're decent enough for their own games, they're really not optimal for modding).

i could do some stuff as long as you have references in pictures. im very bad at making model from words >.< and speed isn't a problem. i can get most stuff done in a couple of hours/days depending on difficulty.

Well for a while we though that FlyingRooster was black, but that's besides the point.
I already tried to recruit Gaigher, but he wasn't intereted in doing stuff that wasn't MP related. This job IS for SPV2, it just has nothing to do with what we normally do.

Also, lag is taking French, but my thoughts on gaigher would be to wait and see more of his stuff now. He may just want our tags, or simply misunderstand what we told him and do something we don't want to happen. That's the only reason we would hesitate to pick him right away, imo.

His posts are in what you could call "l33t french", it's like what some new members use when they replace "you" with "u", or instead of "know", they put "no". I've been speaking French my whole life, and go to a French school, so that's probably why I can understand it. I agree that he should be trying to speak English though.

Sure, online translators can translate words perfectly fine, but they don't translate the structure of the phrase, so it would probably make it harder to understand him.

I too would like to throw my hat in the ring for this one, and even though I'm currently not much of a BSP modeler, I'm good at learning and studying to be better at everything.
The last thing I was working on, BSP wise was this forerunner structure that was basically a trial in forerunner architecture.

The task is BSP modeling. Period. And Hunter, like Masterz said more bluntly, don't get your hopes up. Heck, I've done a little BSP modeling here and there and I don't have my hopes up.

I'm not going to say what they are planning for the new member that joins, but suffice to say that it is very interesting. They also know what kind of skills they want, so if they see that you have them, they'll talk to you about joining the team, and if not, then they won't.

It does deal greatly with terrain, but if you're part of the team you also have to know how to make and edit weapons.
