As my 2,000th post here on Modacity, I'd like to announce my first map in nearly three years.
Remnant is a spiritual successor to Separated. As such, it will feature the new and much improved "Draco II", two opposing beam towers, and just generally be set on a chunk of the destroyed Installation 04.
To finish this project, I'm going to admit my own inabilities here at the beginning and request all the help I can get. It is my intention to do all the tagging and designing, but I'd like help with the actual terrain modeling and Forerunner structure building... and texturing... and UVing... and I think that's it.
This is my basic layout for Remnant:
Note the primary features include:
- The edge of Installation 04
- A layer of the framing pieces seen in Halo 3
- Two beam emitters (maybe to scale?)
- A tunnel a la the tank tunnels in AotCR (not to scale)
- Some cliffs
- The Dracos (not to scale)
- A river
I hope to make the map quite long, but not Hugeass or Coldsnap-sized, just big enough to fit the Dracos.
