I just called XBL. THey said they were having problems world-wide. They also say that most console players can get onto live its just the PC thats still F#$%ed up (figures). They say it should be working fine by tonight (Eastern Time). Hope that takes the edge of some of this.

Its not working for me over here in England either. For an hour or so I assumed it was a problem at my end and have been messing around with my router. I'm kinda glad its not though.

This is not considered cheating, since Hired Gun did nothing to prevent it.
k heres what you do.
Goto your halo 2 maps folder
Usually:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Games\Halo 2\maps
Now. See your 00a_introduction.map file?
Move 01b_spacestation-08b_detlacontrol somewhere else
Make 14 more copys of that. then rename the copys
01a_tutorial
01b_spacestation
03a_oldmombasa
03b_newmombasa
04a_gasgiant
04b_floodlab
05a_deltaapproach
05b_deltatowers
06a_sentinelwalls
06b_floodzone
07a_highcharity
07b_forerunnership
08a_deltacliffs
08b_deltacontrol

Then just do it on legendary.
Everytime you see the intro start, hit enter or A on the controler
It will be alot of loading screens but its faster than doing the whole game (again for some of us).
After you got what you came for just put the old maps back.
