I have nothing against money. I love money. I do have something against wasting good money on unnecessary goods, such as a set of GeForce 8800 Ultras that are marginally better than a set of GeForce 8800GTXs.

I get by just fine on my 7800GT, and won't be upgrading for another year or two.

Dude right now I work at MDG fixing computers. (eg changing damaged hardware and trouble shooting the BIOS and OS)Its a summer job until highschool starts in september. I still have year left then Im off to university.

My girlfriend went to europe 2 weeks ago and she will be there for another 3 weeks.

So I work 3 times a week (basically every other day). And with my girlfriend gone for most of the summer; that leaves me with alot of free time. So I figured why not update my computer (not like I have anything else to do).

I just finished playing SPv1 on halo CE set to legendary and I had like 400
FPS on the Library. My RIG makes halo SPv1 harder than it already is. The gameplay is really fast and before you know it your dead.

CPU speed and graphics make no difference in the speed of the script and the ability for the AI to simulate tactics...

Thats what my friend has. He is like friggin' rich (because his dad owns a tree corporation and his mom is a lawyer), he got dual 8800 Ultras in SLI mode, and he had like probably one of the best PCs in the world. He told me that the gameplay was really fast. I think the 8800 Ultras should be fine to play Halo 3 at medium - high settings. Just wait for the 9 series.
