I experimented with lighting effects in photoshop to give it that look.

now is seems that i keep saying this and unless there's something wrong with me (which i hope there's not) but something keeps telling me that something isn't metal about your metal XD it looks more stone to me even the render that Dane did for u. figure it out now.....

Heh, I remember an invader veex from a long time ago. Or at least, i think i do...do you remember me? that would clear things up.

Spikes, that is because when I made the original version of that assault rifle, I thought it would be cool to have that on the brighter upper part. None of the rest has it though, if that looks any different. And HDoan did the render.
