Right, because any of the TIE hybrids were accurate to the original TIE fighter's cockpit...

You also have to be a little more realistic (lol, TIE tanks and realism)...this thing is on the ground, meaning it has to deal with weight issues that don't normally bother a TIE vehicle.

Did Lucas run out of ideas this badly?
    A TIE tank?

The TIE was combined with many things...X-Wings and Y-Wings among them.

I don't think it was Lucas' idea, though. I know that tank came from the comics which take place AFTER the movies are over with.

I have some gripes about continuity issues, though, because TIE Crawlers weren't in production until after the Battle of Endor, and everything you've shown so far has been pre-Battle of Endor.
I understand the TIE Mauler wouldn't make a good tank, and you probably need a tank for one of your maps, but that's gonna bug me.

Would be better off using the Juggernaut or the IFT-X.

But the idea of the TIE crawler doesn't even fucking make sense. Why would a tank need a Twin Ion Engine meant for space travel? And if the engine doesn't work the same way, well it's not really a TIE then is it?

I have no idea, all I know is that they even have a fucking Lego set based off the TIE Crawler.

It looks cool, but it doesn't make SENSE.
Of course, does it have to make sense? This is sci-fi, we have some invisible current flowing through everyone which allows you to be able to push things around/choke people...
