Uh, I'm not sure exactly. Firstly, define "good skills" secondly, charge based upon your level of experience. I feel I'm quite inexperienced (~2.5 years of experience) so I don't charge very much. Thirdly, transport times and costs, consider getting these covered.
Additionally, for an event like that, you will almost definitely need more than a camera and a tripod. In fact, you shouldn't be tethered to a tripod for an event shoot, unless you're doing some formal group shots. You'll most likely need a flashgun and a couple fast lenses. You may need to rent equipment, consider that too.
To be honest, the best thing to do would be to discuss it with the people you'll be shooting for.
