Last few days to get Windows 7 for $50

    Non-Billy Mays Version:
I don't think I ever saw a thread about this, but even if there was, let this be a reminder for the less wealthy people here (or even news to those with lives): You can buy Windows 7 upgrades at Newegg for less than 50% of the retail price. Home Premium is $50, Professional is $100. If you have multiple machines, I would HIGHLY recommend you take this deal. I pre-ordered two copies and noticed on the receipt that I bought $250 in software for $100.

    Y'all have until July 11.

    Billy Mays Version:

Do I need Vista to be considered for Upgrade or could I use XP?

You can use the upgrade disc, but it'll be a clean install.

I'm going to piss everyone off and say I'll stick with OSX, where it's only 30$ to upgrade a single computer and 50 for a family, and only 115$ for the full OS for a new computer.

That said, this is a good deal that I will NOT be taking advantage of. I'm still holding onto the frail remnants of Windows XP

Sticking with RC1 until it expires. By then, kinks will already be worked out and it should be slightly cheaper for Enterprise or Ultimate.

Fully price it will cost me £149 ($238) for both Home Premuim and Professional, bs.

Just thought I'd let you know about MS sites offer.
    http://www.microsoft.com/windows/buy...pre-order.aspx

Gives list of who is participating, so theres more than just newegg.com.

Which version are you guys getting (if your getting it)? Home Premium will do the job?
