what do you mean buldging the other direction.
It should be going downward, not upward. Think about it, if the face plate was mostly round, then the middle would be straight-ish, the bottom would "bulge" up, and the top would "bulge" down.
it is being going downward. and i did compare it to the vid, its perfect
