That's Dr. Halsey, there's no appearance of Cortana in that video at all. Oh, and at 2:29, could that possibly be Captain Keyes?

EDIT : You know, maybe she wasn't talking to Cortana after all. Isn't there an AI in Reach called Auntie Dot or something?

I sincerely hope that was just a quick script thrown together by the video team because that was some of the most painfully melodramatic, overwritten drivel I've seen since Twilight.

Game still looks cool (although the squadmates are looking very, very archetypical), but we're all here for the multiplayer anyway so I'll try not to get too grr about it

I'm here for the campaign as much as, if not more than, the multiplayer...Jorge definitely is my favourite member of Noble team, especially after that video.

I'm sure it was. They did the same thing last year with an ODST "vidoc" narrated by Johnson, who was barely in the game.

It was probably a zoomed in shot that you'd only see int eh distance during the campaign.

One thing I did like about the Spartans in the books is how they were serious to a fault, so I was a little disappointed to hear them spewing macho cliches in the video.
