Reason: My friend plays in this server a lot and since we plan to do a let's play on it, I think this one would be perfect seeing there's still lots to be discovered, he asked to see if he could get me into the server, but I decided to come here myself and say so. I've been logging onto it just to roam around, and want to be able to play it. Hope I am white listed soon

I just want to remind everyone again that the world will be restarted with a new seed when 1.9 is released. There's nothing I can do about the lack of backwards compatibility. I hoped it would have been released sooner, but I guess they are doing some actual quality assurance bug-fixing this time.
I do intend to upload the old world. The only reason I haven't done it is because I wanted to have an idea of the 1.9 seed we would be using. Guess I'll have to upload worlds for both pre-1.8 and 1.8 now as well.
I'm just interested in the pre-1.8 world, and anything built in the 1.8 world can be rebuilt in 1.9...
So apparently the Modacity servers have been getting raped by explorer.exe using 3 GB of RAM. I have no idea how this happened, and I have never seen anything like this happen to Windows before.
If anyone was experiencing some bizarre lag, it should be gone now. Windows was swapping memory like apeshit.
Can you add me to the white list? I have followed this thread for a while, never gone in game though.

Probably a memory leak. Weather and a lot of the new stuff are notoriously bad for bad memory management.
Sorry, so just confirming that we're restarting for 1.9? So...stop building pretty much?
