Tehran Highway is awesome for Conquest but really sucks for Rush imo, it's too easy for the defensive team to rape the attackers right outside their own spawn point. Just plant engineers and snipers along the two main roads, and the defenders can probably drain the respawn tickets to zero without losing a single station. Unless the attackers are very well coordinated, I rarely see Rush games on Tehran Highway lasting beyond the first defense base.
When I play Rush on Tehran Highway, usually the attackers drive the Amtrac and tanks straight into the base and cause mass confusion among the defenders. then their infantry jumps out of the Amtrac, secures the area for people spawning in the Amtrac and then proceed to arm the MCOMs. As long as engineers repair the Amtrac, there's nothing the defenders can do. AT mines would definitely disrupt that plan, though.
heh, the last time someone did that while I was on defense in Tehran Highway, my squad and I promptly massacred the arming attackers and then proceeded to turn their own tank against them :P Although the tank driver had the sense to stay inside his tank to cover his mates who were arming, he was unable to shake off me and my fellow engineer who were sabotaging his tank with repair tools, so he decided to bail out to gun us down (and failed). Then we repaired the tank, hopped in, and blew the fuck out of the arming attackers. They did manage to get a charge armed, but another teammate was able to defuse it anyways.
Nevertheless, if the attackers actually manage to destroy the first base, then the game becomes more balanced, as there are more routes to take for the second base and also more snipe points for attackers.
