    Re: Battlefield 3

This discussion belongs in this thread, is perfectly legitimate and breaks none of the forum ToS.
    I'll point this out:

A: My copy is a boxed copy of Russian edition BF3 [a gift from a friend who was an exchange student].
B: I've taken required steps to ensure English files are working.
C: no other software on this system crashes, locks, freezes or crash to desktop.
D: Language of software should have no bearing on the ability to run on a system, the only thing that should make any difference is whether the user can understand said language.

As such, is there any possibility that the problem could be related to temporary caches?
I recall something a while back where people would have troubles in guerrilla where they would edit tags and for some reason said tag edits would save due to multiple copies?
I'm wondering if this could also be a cause of the language being a mixture between English and Russian.

Yes, what you're describing has been happening to a few people from what I've read on other sites. The problem stems from using one versions files with another and expecting it to work correctly.

Again, if the game had been INTENDED to work that way there wouldn't be any issues. I don't know of a solution, and my entire peeve is simply that there are a bunch of people out there expecting something to work that should obviously look incompatible. My peeve is specifically when they complain on and on that it should work.

Deal with it, it doesn't right now.

This error has arisen before I even began using the other files, I only began to even attempt to run it in English after trying to run it in Russian so there goes that theory.

The game was intended to run in Russian, it currently does not run in Russian at all let alone in English, The language of the software should not affect it's ability to run on a system.

All I've seen in your OP was that your game takes a dump. That's not a whole lot to go on is it? You didn't detail what you did/didn't do to fix the problem in ANY of your posts that I can see (believe me I looked, even through the ones I deleted).

Based on the information you have provided, the only conclusion ANYONE could come to is that it's a problem with the game and your system, your system specifically.

No overclocking, no cooling issues, reasonably fresh install of windows.

Also, yes I am using 11.11 for ATI.

I've updated cleared the drivers and put latest ones on, got all windows updates, obviously the game is updated.

    Specs are:
    AMD Phenom X4@2.6ghz
    4Gb DDR2
    XFX HD4850 1024Mb
Window Vista 32X [Forget trying to convince me going win7 been there done that got the aging hair line]

Nothing is showing in the event logger so I can't go from there,
I would quote more but seeing as you deleted a few of my posts, I cannot.

Warlord, just redownload the whole game again and then extract the latest Russian to English fix into the BF3 folder. That should be it. I don't know if you need the regular English files, though. You probably do, but give this a shot first and see.

So like in Freelancer's videos above, I agree with his assesment. The AEK 971 is a complete beast!
The other team wasn't half bad either, but this weapon was no match for them.
