They shouldn't only be able to do that if you're camping. Don't camp. Unless you're sniping and actually not sucking at it by marking literally every enemy you see instead of just staying scoped and getting useless kills.
@Warsaw: It sounds like your jet pilots REALLY suck. I find it pretty easy to be an asset to your team once you're good enough to dogfight without heat seekers. Then you can equip useful secondaries like rocket pods to disable tanks with a single volley, which usually signals any competent nearby engineers to finish it off. If not you can usually loop around quick enough to finish it off yourself. I'm lucky enough to be able to fly with another very competent wing-man often, we'll actually fly formation and he'll support me with cannon fire while I fire a volley of rockets. This works really well against infantry as well who are taking a point or something while bunched up, set the run up from afar open with rockets and cannon combo from both of us, switch to gun for me, then another salvo of both. Pretty much levels an entire objective area and scatters infantry.
The suppression points are usually really low, I don't see a problem with the points. I could care less about the point system in the game, there's a lot more to being a good player in this game than your points. I like the actual suppression effects, especially the incoming effect it has on me. Sometimes I'll get a heads-up before I actually get hit because of it.
