    yeah, Einsteins perception of god wasn't an invisible powerful man on a cloud in the sky either.

    It was a spiritual thing with being connected to the universe. Anyone that quotes shit like "god doesn't roll dice" which is another one they love to pull is missing the context behind the argument and it's intended meaning.

    Nothing is ever truly random, Eventually you'll run out of combinations and repeat yourself.
    If everything is bound by the laws of reality, laws such as newtons law of motion where for each action there is an potent opposite reaction.
    If everything is bound by these laws, how does free will exist?
    either it doesn't and everything is one giant rube Goldberg or there is still something missing.


    You can look at the idea of a God as your typical creator/master, look at it as a spiritual connection binding everything or you can look at it from a logical point of view which is the universe itself.

    I thought it wasn't entirely legitimate (it is the internet after all). As for the philosophical aspect of the conversation I posted, I just liked the rhetoric of the argument and how it was turned upside down for the side that started the initial argument. Regardless, the religious perception (as in the organization created by societal individuals) of God is relatively distorted either way you look at it.

    These premises have nothing to do with the claim. For the argument to work, the premises have to be relative to the prospect of free will, and they are not. They're concerning physics. Your initial statement of "Nothing is ever truly random, Eventually you'll run out of combinations and repeat yourself." also fails to make any sense, because randomness does not imply uniqueness. If you run a random number generator enough times, it will eventually come up with two identical answers. This does not make them "unrandom", it's just a repeated occurrence.
