The only real advantage is convenience. Each new PC game I play seems to require minimum 2 hours of install, patching, tweaking, etc. Console games you just stick in the disk and you're good to go.

I'll never stop thinking Halo PC every time I see "Infinity Multiplayer".

Not that I'm complaining. The more content, the better. Unless a chunk of that content data is the CGI nonsense for Spartan Ops.

I'm betting it'll do something similar to what Halo 3: ODST did. Keep the Campaign on one disk, put the Multiplayer/Spartan-Ops/Extra content on another.

More far more likely the second disk is to do with the extended cut of Forward Unto Dawn.

But every time I do that for a new game on the Xbox it has to stop, "patch," stop again, actually patch for real, and then finally play.

Nope, the special edition of Forward Unto Dawn is going to be a digital version only. Here's the link to a comment made by David Ellis: https://twitter.com/DavidEllis/statu...84944354222081

Gamer standpoint: cheaper than buying a top of the line PC when all you want to do is game
    Developer standpoint: Fixed platform
    Multiplayer standpoint: harder to cheat/mod.

Software in general will always require updating and some form of installation. Luckily, future consoles will streamline the latter.

Well, I was getting at the idea that consoles are starting to not be all the same across the board. Developers are having to work around the fact that not every Xbox has a hard drive.

I'll grant the other two, though cost is something that needs to be broken down and analyzed; it's not as simple as it seems.

Anybody else getting major cheese vibes from Forward Unto Dawn?
