Low is xbox quality, people just couldn't tell how shitty the xbox version looked for the simple reason it was on a 640 x 480 resolution with low res textures. And you can't tell that anything looks bad when your looking at a 480i screen from 12 feet away.

I hate when people join a community, then spend their time bashing the game. If they don't like it, GTFO - that's all. Why waste time telling people what you think, when you know you're most likely going to get proven wrong anyway.

Also, this is a three-year-old game. And, they didn't 'revamp' the graphics - they made them more 'compatible' with high-res displays. Halo Xbox ran at 640x480, on 'medium' H2V graphics. Obviously, people are going to want to play it on higher quality than this, so they just upped the resolutions and enabled AA and AF.

Please stop trying to find someone to blame for something that rocks. If you want to let them know how you feel, email Hired Gun (or Bungie if you don't want to get a reply).

PS: Question for Lightning - self-shadowing... I don't remember seeing that in the Xbox version, or am I wrong? Anyway, if that's what it's going to look like on medium, I can't wait to get my 8800 GTS in the mail.

Yea, my resolution is 1280X1024 and it is stacked for me. Even when you quoted it, Stealth, it was stacked.

Hey, Can some one do me a favour.

Can you take a picture of the battle rifle, but have the game set to 640 x 800 (or 800 x 600) which ever is the lowest.

and if possible have it set to windowed and all settings on high.

I never play it full screen and high res, maybe thats why I think the gfx are ugly. I'm sure the detail will be higher if the screen res is lower.
