Arg, I hate having a job. All this drama started and ended before I had a chance to join in. Wait a minute, that's a good thing XD

I been thinking about it, and I've decided it's brutal and heartless and ruthless, but I suppose it does maintain the quality of the content on these forums. After all, you can either coddle a person whose modeling sucks, and be nice and p.c., and try not to hurt their feelings, and waste your time trying to help them along,
or
you can tell them like it is and if they have any balls they'll learn from their mistakes and improve and maybe come back with something good to contribute, and if they don't, then they'll bitch and whine and then ultimately leave you alone.

It's rude and heartless and makes me feel like an arrogant bastard, but hey, the vast majority of what I see on these forums is quality stuff.
But anyway, I thank you guys for doing the arrogant heartless telling like it is so I didn't have to XD

[/ot] I've got more stuff to post, but that'll be later.

@Tweek: it looks to me like most of that detail would be better placed in a normal map- I haven't done normal maps yet, but I get the impression you could use that model to project a normal map onto a lower poly version?
