Then again I immediately tell them that I am a "power user" and would like to be "elevated" to Tier 2 support. Tier 2 EA guys usually know what's going on. If they don't they CAN elevate you to a Tier 3 system, but you have to wait for them to email you a chat link and it usually takes a week for them to get back to you.

I had to wait for Tier 3 when my BF Modern Combat vetran status wasn't updating properly.
I've actually had nothing but good experiences with EA support.

When my status wasn't updating due to stolen keys, I just provided some barcodes from my boxes as proofs of purchase and bam, I had everything. With Tier 1. Just give them overkill information from the get-go and you'll usually get things sorted out pretty quickly.
