Oh well, I don't even think I can fit an 8800 in my PC anyway, nor is my power supply large enough...
Anyways, from the new video, I can finally see the reflection maps on the AR (or whatever you guys call it for HaloCE) Sorry if I was a little skeptical in the other thread, I've been playing CSS with highpoly reskins lately with full HDR, AA, Antistropic, basically the works and that tends to raise my expectations. I always seem to forget that Halo is running on an out of date engine....
Ah, that video explains a lot. The final build will use CAD's animations (at least origins and reload), right?

Nice. Muzzle flash needs to be bigger though, and the "muzzle brake" effect is all over the place. Kinda like Counter Strike. It's not physically possible.
The video said the AR fire effect was not done.

EDIT: You guys added spike nades?? AWESOME! I love the vid. If anyone is confused about what I'm talking about, look at the nade section of the HUD and you see a familiar shape. It also seems that Grunts can now charge thier plasma pistols...
