We could use the whole chief stores the rounds things though ounce we get to 6 rockets it doesn't make sense if you reload after each time you fire. Cause eventually you should hit a used drum but reload two rockets anyway even though the drums are sealed.

The majority of the people here don't care about realism. They care about gameplay. Since when did someone pick up halo, with it's glowing blue blooded enemies, for its realism? If you want realism, go play Battlefield 2 or America's Army. As for me, keep the discard rounds in mag feature away from me.

That Q in tbqh better stand for "questionably".

This game is made to look real, but not like our actual reality. It's like 300, in a way. The creatures could have looked more real, but they weren't, because the creators wanted the creatures to look beyond real. Half-Life is actually the only big-name video game franchise going for pure realistic looks as far as I know.

Anyway, if it doesn't look like our reality, why should it function as our reality? If you look at the animations, MC doesn't actually exchange magazines in the gun. He just grabs the magazine, holds it away from the gun for awhile, then puts it back in. Personally, I think there is only one magazine, and MC holds all of the bullets in his cheeks like a squirrel holds food. When he pulls the magazine away from the gun, he is spitting bullets into the magazine faster than you can see. Understand?

My question is, how WOULD he lose rounds whenever he reloads? It would be a stupid waste of time to empty the magazine of all of its rounds before spitting more rounds into the gun. I really don't understand where anyone is coming up with this idea.

Because. Your forgetting a key word with the rocket launcher drums. They. Are. Sealed.

So what? Not even the original halo and halo 2 discarded the rockets. You know why? Because Bungie was focused on gameplay and balancing the scales for multiplayer.

    That q stands for "quite."

Also, realism and believability ARE gameplay. That's why you play the game, to believe you're in the situation.
Warsaw, Ross, ExAM, someone get in here and back me up.

I'm fairly sure it depends on what's FUN.
And losing extra ammo because you reloaded, even though generally people reload on purpose so that they don't go into battle with one bullet in the cartridge, is not fun.

Exactly. Losing rounds because you reloaded while there is still bullets in the cartage is just stupid.
