That's actually how I pictured the H3 AR melee to be before Bungie released the Public Beta. I thought it was going to be kind of a cross between the two Shotgun melees, but it ended up just being modified BR anims.

Sorry Dole, my mistake. I meant the chaingun like in Halo 3. You can mount it, then unmount and carry it, like Masters explained in the Field Guide.

Meh, I find the melee similar to the Assault Rifle's, but not quite like it. This one focuses on hitting up left more than just left. But it's however you view it. Anyway, I am planning to give it Halo 3 like animations. I won't attempt to copy it exactly, but I will imitate the style.

Actually if you can export h2 IK models then I can give you the whole sha-bang. I can't seem to get it to work. :X.

You don't have to apoligize for anything. :P

But to let you know, the Machine Gun currently uses that system that is described there: pick up collapsed turret --> setup the tripod --> mount the gun emplacement or destroy the stand --> pick up the remaining gun as a handheld weapon

Given, a Chaingun could replace the Machine Gun outright, but work on the Machine Gun began over a year ago; it shaped up to be a great piece of work and it would be a shame to deprive such a piece of content of use, especially considering it it wasn't in the release candidates.

Gatling guns, or any type of rotary gun, are not chain guns. I wish more people knew this :/

Its just sorta imbeded into people that Gatling Gun=Chain Gun.

In my opinion Gatling Gun sounds much more badass.

Gatling guns lack the rattling chain noise...it's just a loud buzzing sound coupled with scraping gears.
